Home Energy Survey
 

1st Call DEA can carry out a full energy assessment of your property for the purpose of producing a detailed report showing the energy losses of the property.  The report will also show the recommended changes that can save you money, this can be around £250.00 per year and how much you can reduce your carbon emissions.

Whether you're buying, selling or improving a home, energy saving is an intelligent way to unlock the value of the property.  There are lots of simple things you can do to save energy right now which will reduce your carbon dioxide emissions and help prevent climate change.  These range from turning your lights off when you leave the room to insulating your cavity walls.  Another example, insulating an uninsulated loft can save around £110.00 and around one tonne of carbon dioxide a year.

Some of the key areas that will be looked at during the assessment will be windows, doors, glazing, wall insulation, loft insulation, lighting, central heating, boilers, controls and much more.  The assessment will also show the benefits of solar panels and photovoltaic cells.

By completing a Home Energy Survey this will enable us to:
  • Give estimates of your home energy efficiency, the cost of fuel, and carbon dioxide emissions, based on acceptable standards of heating.
  • Show a breakdown of the typical energy losses from various parts of your house.
  • Indicate whether your home is better or worse than the average.
  • Identify and inform you of energy efficiency improvement measures specific to your home.
  • Give an indication of the likely costs of the selected improvements and their payback period.
  • Illustrate the potential saving in energy costs and carbon dioxide emissions by various improvement projects either singly or in combination.
